Greetings from Mexico City and the Carpenter family.

Benjamin's 18th birthday is April 11th! If you would like to send him a greeting, send it to
ben@sknbc.com. He will be surprised.

It is hard to believe that five years have passed since our last furlough. But it is true. So,
we are making plans to drive to the border on June 16th. Between now and the 16th we
have a lot of packing to do. Fortunately the Embreeville Church of Christ of upper east
Tennessee is coming down to give us a hand with the move. We will be releasing the
house we have been renting for the last nine years and looking for another house upon
our return in March 2011.

Between now and the 16th we will host a marriage seminar, celebrate the Eagles
Christian Church's 4th anniversary with activities on the 24th and 25th of April and keep
up with our regular activities and Bible studies.

We have also scheduled a date for the CHE seed project in the community. CHE is
Community Health Evangelism, which we are called TIC (Transformacion Integral
Comunitario) in spanish. This project is a community effort in organizing the
neighborhood to improve the community and an opportunity for us to use it for
evangelism. The seed project is a neighborhood wide street cleaning day set for June
5th. Please be in prayer for the ministry and the seed project.

The construction at the Northside Christian Church site continues with a lot of progress
being made. Non-the-less it is still a ways from being finished. The roofing is still being
welded, which takes a lot longer than I imagined it would, and the walls are being
finished up. I hope that we can organize a church work day(s) in which the church
members start the painting process. They will need to seal the walls and ceilings. Then
put a primer coat on, and finally apply the actual paint. Hmmm, I guess that means I
should be asking them which colors are going to be used!

On a personal note Benjamin will graduate from Mexico City Christian Academy on June
4th. He is planning to attend Milligan College in Johnson City, Tennessee this coming
Fall. Natasha will be finishing up her first year in mid May and is on the Dean's list.
Congratulations to both of them.

Also, congratulations to Steve's father, Olof Carpenter upon his 90th birthday this past
March 28th.

This will probably be our last entry on this site until we are into our furlough, so, here's
hoping to see you soon in the US.

Oh, that reminds me that I should tell you our tentative and sketchy schedule.
We are planning to be in Oregon from June 22 through July 19th. The rest of our
furlough will be spent in East Tennessee and visiting our supporting churches in
surrounding states.

May the Lord bless you and yours.

Steve and Kay Carpenter
